Frequently Asked Questions
I need a video. How much does it cost?
We need to know everything about your project in order to make sure we approach it in the most strategic way possible. We want your production to match your needs and wants – even if it means a smaller project with a lower budget.
Our team will work with you to figure out the best solution for your business at a reasonable price. E-mail email@example.com, or give us a call to get started on a quote for your project.
I didn’t see a video like the one I’m thinking of. Can you still help me?
Of course! We have an extremely talented team who love nothing more thinking outside the box. The videos in our portfolio are just glimpses of what we’ve done in the past, not the boundaries of what we can do! We’re confident that we can fill your production needs, even if your concept is completely outside the box.
Do you deliver every image you shoot?
No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images.
Do you do destination weddings? What additional fees are associated with destination weddings?
We serve clients all around the world. Our destination wedding photography packages include the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
Does your studio do headshots, individual portraits, family portraits, newborn shoots, commercial photography, or other types of photography?
Yes, we have experience in many fields of photography and videography.
My venue is very dark. How does your studio handle these situations?
We have shot in the darkest of dark venues and reception halls so no need to worry! If the situation allows, we will set up additional lighting to ensure we get focused pictures.
When’s the best time to book for a wedding?
We usually get about 150+ requests per year and only book 30ish. So we always recommend reaching out as soon as you’re thinking about booking.
For wedding videos do you record the audio for ceremonies and speeches?
Yes! We record the audio for the ceremony and the speeches. We usually have multiple backups too!
How do you ensure the highest quality audio?
For the ceremony we use two Lav Mic’s to capture the audio for both the Bride and Groom, as well the officiator. Don’t worry you won’t have any wires showing, it’s discreet. It also won’t interfere with any signals coming from your DJ. It’s all internally recorded. If you wish to not use a Lav mic we have other options as well. We record the toasts by plugging directly into the DJ’s soundboard.
Where are you based out of?
We’re based out of Rochester, New York but film globally. In the last three years, we have filmed 52+ countries. Travel is in our blood.
Have you shot at my venue before?
There is a good chance that we have. However, if we have not, we will get to the venue early on the day of and be sure to perform a thorough walk-through to scout out the best photo/video locations. We also do extensive online research prior to your big day!
Which photographer will be shooting my wedding?
Typically, the photographer you meet with will be the photographer for your engagement session and wedding. You may request to meet with a specific photographer; otherwise, we’ll make the decision based on personality, availability, language abilities, and your referral.
What if our ceremony is in a different language?
We approach these weddings with research, understanding the traditions and culture of the wedding. We also have talk-through meetings with our couples before the wedding to ensure we are aware of the major moments. Lastly, we always ensure that we stay alert, leaning on the instincts that we have developed for capturing the emotion and the stories at any given moment.
In our cinematography, if our editors do not understand the language spoken, we take a similar approach. First, we ensure that we have strong communication with you to understand the important moments from the day. We also find aspects in English to drive the story. This might be a heartfelt toast at the reception or personal messages that you give to each other, recorded during your wedding preparation.
So while different languages can present challenges, in the end, artistry, creativity, and storytelling are all universal concepts that our team will portray in your photography and cinematography.
What is a wedding highlight film?
When you see videography packages a lot of times you’ll see ‘Highlight Film’ somewhere in there and you’re probably thinking what is that? Highlight wedding films are a newer, slightly trendier form of wedding videos that have become more and more common. Highlight films are shorter, more emotional, and upbeat edits usually cut to music with sound design.
- Typically highlight wedding films are more budget-friendly.
- They’re perfect for quickly sharing on social media or with family/friends.
- A highlight wedding film will showcase all of the most stunning and upbeat moments of your day.
- Because of the lower cost, these won’t have as much coverage of the day.
- While being easy to share is awesome, these will be shorter videos usually 2-5 min long. So if you are looking for a longer film, definitely consider a documentary style wedding film.
- Although highlight films are fast-paced and fun, sometimes they can not include some of more intimate moments of your day.
Will my wedding highlight film include full speeches?
In a short answer, no. We use bits and pieces of the speeches to add more context and emotion to the highlight film. However, we do offer the chance for you to purchase all the Raw footage from your big day or the desired speeches.

How do you hire a good video production company?
Some companies bid multiple vendors for a project but most of our clients are single bid from referrals, repeat business, or good chemistry rather than cost. Video production is often high visibility within client organizations so it’s essential there is significant trust between the video production company and the client. Look for trust and results will follow.

If you’ve seen one corporate video you’ve seen them all, wrong. We’re in the golden age of branded content with companies like Amazon, Skillshare, Visit Brazil, and creating compelling video content drives business and improves their brand image.
